The Amato Center for the Performing Arts, located at the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley, provides a venue for theater arts in the greater Milford N.H. area. The Amato Center for the Performing Arts provides connection points with community organizations strengthening community ties and a sense of place, expanding and deepening cultural participation, and increasing awareness and appreciation for the work of artists in our community.

The Amato Center provides the Souhegan Valley area of Southern New Hampshire with a year-round venue for cultural arts and community connection. The unique size of the 460 seat theater provides groups with an intimate, professionally equipped theater setting.

The Amato Center is the home theater of the Boys & Girl's Club's Riverbend Youth Company theater program and the Milford Area Players (MAP), a community theater organization striving to keep theater alive in the area following the demise of the regionally renowned American Stage Festival.

The theater is used by the Wadleigh Library for special children theater events, by the Town of Milford in support of its annual pumpkin festival and other community events, by local churches for their weekly services, by local preschools, dance studios, regional theater companies, and many others.

“The existence of the Amato Center has created a wonderful venue for my choreography and collaborative projects with other local fine artists.  This theatre has brought a new level of culture to southern New Hampshire.   I believe The Amato Center has made valuable impact in the greater Milford area community by adding excellent artist experiences and drawing and exposing families in the region to a new realm of Fine Arts.” - Robyn Goulette, Saving Grace Dance Ensemble
